When Zach & Taylor gave me the opportunity to head back to my hometown for the Independence Day weekend and capture their rock and roll wedding day, I didn’t hesitate. I’ve known Zach for years; we went to the same highschool and while we didn’t have classes together, we’ve kept in touch over the years because he’s just one of the raddest guys I’ve ever met. And when I met Taylor, I just knew this was his person, and I couldn’t be happier for them! I captured this Illinois rock and roll wedding, Elvis and vintage hot rod included, right outside of Chicago at a venue called Loft28 in Aurora, Illinois. If you’re looking for an industrial blank space that has a cool, moody vintage vibe, this is your spot.

What do you think? Would you have Elvis officiate your wedding? Believe me when I say, it rocked the house. Zach and Taylor chose a few different things to keep their wedding day non-traditional. They started with hiring an Elvis impersonator to officiate the ceremony, but then, during cocktail hour, he actually performed for all the guests. He pulled Zach and Taylor up there with him, and oh my goodness it was epic. They chose vintage inspired touches, with a 60s and 70s inspiration to top off the vibe, and Loft28 really shined to showcase beautiful lighting, exposed ceilings, and really unique vintage touches throughout.
