Motion picture, at it's core, is an extension of documentation, offering moments and feeling that otherwise cannot be time capsuled in a still image alone. And I'll be honest: this style of video pairs together on your wedding day unlike anything else, but IT isn't for everyone. It's raw, and strips away the traditional wedding script of a "production", leaving the magic of imperfection that is both film and life's chaos, together.

ANALOG SUPER 8 AND 16MM WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY
ONLY ON FILM, ALWAYS.
These films are shot by hand on real vintage cameras and kodak film stock, and carefully woven into your wedding or elopement day documentation.
here's what's included:
✶ options for either video only, or photo + video together (helluvah deal waitin for ya)
✶ 5 hours locally up to all day documentation
✶ entirely on rolls and rolls of film, in a mix of super8 and 16mm
✶ all of the development, processing, and scanning
✶ your physical film negatives, mailed to you for your archive
✶ online gallery for viewing and sharing, and backup for a full year
✶ two films: a feature film 3+ minutes in length (based on coverage amount), and your documentary cut (all your digitalized footage captured, color graded and delivered in sequential order: most videographers call this "raw footage" that they won't release, i just like to include all the good stuff without making you pay extra)

SUPER 8 WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY FOR FOLKS THAT DON'T FAKE IT
Your wedding experience is determined by the events of your day and the moments that happen — not an hourly "timeline" that limits your options, and that's why I'm dedicated to telling your entire story from beginning to end. I’ll meet you with FULL, transparent pricing information right after you reach out, so you’ll never have to worry that I adjusted your quote based on the budget you vulnerably shared with me (yes, this really does happen), or made you meet on a call before disclosing prices.
VIDEO may be booked as a standalone service or alongside photography. Since there's a big difference between an event within an hour of travel and a mountain weekend affair 3+ hours away, a tiny wedding with no guests or lots of 'em, reach out for more detailed package offerings. most couples invest $3-8k for booked standalone analog video.
maybe you've never seen analog video before, and maybe you have some questions (here's some answers)
THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE IN DELIVERABLE IS A HIGHER RESOLUTION SCAN, AND A HIGHER FRAME RATE (THINK, BETTER REFRESH RATE ON YOUR GAMING MONITOR), AND FINER GRAIN. THIS RESULTS IN PICTURE THAT MAY FEEL OVERALL MORE WELL ROUNDED THAN SUPER8. HOWEVER, don't count her out: when done right, super8 footage looks amazing and weaves seamlessly with 16mm. and SUPER8 HAS HER OWN BENEFITS, INCLUDING PRIMARILY QUICKNESS AND READINESS (MORE OF A RUN AND GUN AVAILABILITY), VS THE SLOWNESS and heaviness THAT IS inherently 16MM. together, they're a match made in heaven, rounding out each other's pros and weaknesses, and that's why for video-only service, they are shot in tandem all day. photo + video bundled service is captured only on super8 film.
what's the difference between super8 and 16mm video?
i'm happy to work with and collaborate with everyone on your wedding team. that said, my best recommendation is to work with the same brand for both services, so that style and approach translates throughout your day.
while i'll occasionally guide you into the good good light, my approach is intentional and observant, letting the day unfold naturally and documenting the truth in the choas. In this way, collaboration is best with other creatives that share a similar approach to preserve your day of experience.
will you work with our photographer?
processing alone takes 3-6 weeks for digitalized scans to be received, and films are delivered within 12 weeks, via a digital gallery for viewing and sharing.
how soon will we receive our films?
no matter where we go, you’ll have a creative partner that is travel experienced (I’ve been to 10+ countries and counting), and more importantly, film travel experienced. all day documentation includes travel anywhere in the continental us.

can we book video only?
yes, my work is primarily destination! local 5 hour rates are available within 75 mi of my home base in loveland, co. beyond this, travel is included anywhere in the us with all day documentation, with options for international travel.
do you travel?

super8 and 16mm record about 2-3 minutes of footage, per film roll, and you can expect to receive roughly 1 roll of footage per every ~2 hours for all day documentation. because of this, stylistically shorter clips are intentionally chosen throughout the day for filming (ie moments of your first dance are captured, but not the full length of the dance, ceremony, speeches, toasts, etc). these moments are woven into your final feature film, and then provided in your archival edit for additional keepsake.
how much footage is included?
no. these vintage cameras do not natively record audio, and i've kept it that way. however, if you have audio you'd like me to include in your film, i'm happy to incorporate it!
