Breckenridge, Colorado Snowy Elopement
Angelica and Phi, like most of my Colorado elopement couples that hire me, are an intentional, introverted couple. They knew they didn’t want an audience for their vows, and they knew they wanted an unforgettable experience for their wedding day. As their Colorado elopement photographer, we were very specific in their plans, and they chose the snowy mountains outside of Breckenridge, Colorado as the perfect location for their intimate elopement. And they made sure to hire a professional Colorado elopement photographer to capture every moment of their romantic adventure.
Breckenridge, Colorado is a popular destination for elopements, and for good reason. The snow-covered peaks and rugged wilderness create a stunning backdrop for any couple looking for a breathtaking wedding experience. It’s also one of my absolute favorite mountain towns, because it’s actually busy all year long–unlike most remote Colorado mountain towns, Breckenridge is always busy with tourists, and this is important for your adventure if you want to include any fun, unique activities or have dinner options for later in the day for your elopement!
Angelica and Phi’s elopement was a true winter wonderland affair. They hiked through the snow to reach their secluded ceremony location, where their Colorado elopement photographer (hi, me :)) was waiting to capture every moment. It was beautiful out; I think there’s a stigma that winter in the mountains will be epically cold (and granted, this can happen, but with 300 days of sunshine, it’s likely to go the other way!), but winter in Colorado is actually one of the best times to elope here!
The ceremony was simple yet elegant, with just the couple on top of the mountain. The snowflakes fell softly around them as they exchanged their heartfelt vows, creating a magical and romantic atmosphere in the glowing sun.
After the ceremony, the couple celebrated with hot cocoa and cake to hide from the cold a bit until the sun went down, and then we headed back out for sunset portraits before parting ways.
Angelica and Phi’s Breckenridge, Colorado snowy elopement was a beautiful celebration of their love, and I felt just fucking honored to be their Colorado elopement photographer… capturing these love stories really is the highlight of my life. The couple left with memories they will treasure forever, and a gorgeous photo album to share with their loved ones.
If you’re looking for a unique and unforgettable elopement experience, consider Breckenridge, Colorado as your destination, and hire a Breckenridge, Colorado elopement photographer that can guide you, help you plan your day, and leave you with unforgettable wedding images.
