Sandra & Casey had a pretty non-traditional wedding, and they had one of my favorite timelines of all time. The flow of their day felt so authentic and genuine, and slow in all the best ways. It left their day feeling like their wedding day all day long (instead of preparing all morning for “the ceremony”), and we spent the entire day celebrating. Because of how intentionally they planned, they were able to split their time between the Denver Botanic Gardens and the Blanc Denver wedding venue!

Their day started off early in the morning around 9am at the Denver Botanic Gardens. They had already gotten dressed and ready, and met at their ceremony spot at the Woodland Mosaic, tucked in the back of the gardens. Woodland Mosaic is one of my absolute favorite ceremony spots; it’s affordable, easy to access, and makes for a truly unique spot to say your vows, and it’s tucked right in the center of the Botanic Gardens, making it a prime spot for post wedding photos and family groupings.

They said their vows in the mosaic greenhouse, and then enjoyed brunch with family and friends for a non-traditional cocktail hour at the gardens! While their guests got to explore the gardens after their ceremony, so did we, and we spent some time roaming around the gardens afterwards to take photos and enjoy the day. It felt so nice to not have to fit wedding portraits into a traditional 10-minute span, and this allowed us the ability to go slowly and really adventure around the area. We then took a mid-afternoon break; everyone went out to freshen up and grab lunch, etc, and then met back up at Blanc Denver for the reception.

Here’s the thing about Blanc Denver: it’s a truly blank slate, but instead of being barren and just white, it’s an eclectic venue with a ton of gathering spaces, and because of this, I think it creates such a genuine collective feeling of gathering. A lot of venues try to do this, but instead, they leave guests split into different rooms all over the place instead of fostering togetherness, but Blanc Denver does togetherness so well. Between the back warehouse, the middle courtyard, the side lawn courtyard (great for yard games!!!), the indoor bar area and lounge, all of it flows together so nicely and really gives a non-traditional wow factor that so many of my couples love.

Plus, if you need a dog friendly wedding venue in Denver, this one is perfect!!! They do allow dogs on site, and with the yard area included and such an industrial setup, Blanc Denver really is the perfect spot to include the entire family.
