Kelsey & Miles had a wedding that may go down as one of my favorites of all time. As their Denver wedding photographer, specializing in non-traditional weddings, this one really takes the wedding cake for unique ideas, with a vendor lineup that truly couldn’t have been much better.
We started their day at the International Church of Cannabis, a Denver organization dedicated to the industry, and it was only fitting to celebrate the holiday (and their wedding!). They started with breakfast here and then opened a gift from Blazy Susan that was rad as hell (full of papers, trays, and all sorts of collateral for them!), and started their day off, appropriately, mile high.
We then headed to the Halcyn in downtown Denver, which is a Denver wedding venue in it’s own right! The couple got ready here and stayed at this hotel, separately from their own wedding venue, and we spent the afternoon exchanging gifts and relaxing before heading out for their ceremony.
420 DENVER WEDDING DAY
As a local Denver wedding photographer, one of my favorite things is getting to work with some of my favorite vendors throughout the year, and this wedding was an extraordinary team (and I’d say, some of the best of the best!!!) The couple chose Mountain Crust as both their caterer and Denver wedding venue, and always, they brought the vibesssss along with the pizza and it was amazing. Their new wedding venue consists of two floors, a balcony overlooking the mountains, and a grassy lawn area where (on a more sunny day, which we did not have this day in particular), you’d be able to have an outdoor dinner party under the string lights!
While they had a pretty overcast day, we spent the day absolutely glowing in the light of Kelsey’s sunshine and all the bud you could ever imagine. Their 4/20 wedding theme was much more than just a “theme”, it means a hell of a lot to them; it speaks to their life and how they met, their proposal story, and how they’ve gotten so close, and their wedding brought all of these themes together as well as all of their friends in the industry together for a night of pure bliss.
